Before canceling your paid AOL account, you should keep in mind that you will have to cancel any subscriptions to AOL Premium Services, and you will have to convert to a free account.
Sign in to your AOL account using your master username and your password. You will also need the answer to your account security question. If you have forgotten your password or the answer to your security question, you will have to have them reset.
After you have logged in and answered your account security question, select “I need a Dial-Up Connection” or “I already have a High Speed Connection”, then click on the button labeled “View Plans” if you are prompted. Click “Cancel My Billing”, which should appear t the bottom of the page. Select the reason that you wish to cancel billing from the drop-down menu, then click on the button labeled “Cancel My Billing”. You have now canceled your paid AOL account.
