How to Cancel My Account ?

Pay off your card or transfer the balance. Request the credit card company to cancel the credit card. You may have to file a formal application for the same.  Write down the customer service number and the mailing address. The card cancellation may take a month. Verify on Equifax, Experian or TransUnion and call the customer care with the customer service number if necessary. Consider filing a dispute with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau if the card has not been closed as per request after a month and the customer care representative is unable to give you a satisfactory reason for the delay and an estimated date for it to happen.
