Go to Google Account Settings and choose Products. Click on the Edit link and choose “Remove Gmail permanently”. If you use Gmail offline, you’ll also need to delete the cookies associated with Gmail. Residual copies of may take up to 60 days to be deleted. Within a few weeks’ time, your account will no longer be retrievable.
