How to Cancel My Account ?

To cancel your Facebook friend request from you to another person, just log into Facebook, go to the person’s page and find ‘Friend Request Sent’, then click ‘Cancel Request’ from the dropdown menu.

Log in at http://live.xbox.com/account. “Manage Payment Options.” Click “Remove” on the payment option, removing all payment options.  You may receive a pop-up box warning that you are cancelling your account, but follow the process through to completion.

Once you close your PayPal account, it cannot be reopened.  It needs to have a zero balance without any unresolved issues outstanding.

If you intend to re-subscribe in the next 3 months, place your Hulu Plus subscription on hold.

If you cancel your Hulu Plus subscription during a free trial, your subscription will end immediately.

Cancel your bank’s direct debit by a specific date.  Inform the payee of the cancellation, with a copy to your bank.  If the debits continue, reverse the transaction(s). It makes sense to keep record and copies of all related correspondence for reference.

Direct debits may be contractual, so get legal advice first.

Go to Google Account Settings and choose Products.  Click on the Edit link and choose “Remove Gmail permanently”.  If you use Gmail offline, you’ll also need to delete the cookies associated with Gmail.  Residual copies of may take up to 60 days to be deleted.  Within a few weeks’ time, your account will no longer be retrievable.

In order to cancel an eBay order the purchaser will need to contact the seller . If the order has not been shipped by the time of requesting the cancellation, the seller can choose to cancel it. The seller can be contacted by email, phone or by writing to him using the eBay feature “Ask The Seller’.

Got to Amazon.com and log into your account. Click ‘View Your Orders’ and choose the order you wish to cancel. Click the ‘Cancel Order’ button.  Select the ‘Reason for Cancellation’, then just click on the Submit button/link.

To cancel or delete your facebook account, go to www.facebook.com and log in. In case you are unable to log in, click the ‘Forgot your password’ link.  After you log in successfully, go to the account menu, click on the account settings link, go to ‘Security’ and click on ‘Deactivate your account’.


Remember, once you delete, you won’t be able to reactivate it, so download a copy of your Facebook information before logging into your account and filling out the cancellation form.

Pay off your card or transfer the balance. Request the credit card company to cancel the credit card. You may have to file a formal application for the same.  Write down the customer service number and the mailing address. The card cancellation may take a month. Verify on Equifax, Experian or TransUnion and call the customer care with the customer service number if necessary. Consider filing a dispute with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau if the card has not been closed as per request after a month and the customer care representative is unable to give you a satisfactory reason for the delay and an estimated date for it to happen. 

Click on bidder cancellation form. Then find your bid under “bid history”. Click “cancel bids” for Managing bidders and buyers. Choose “Canceling bids” and click “Canceling bids placed on your listing” icon. Lastly, fill out the form and cancel the bid.

Visit “Manage Your Membership”. Set your membership to expire at the end of the current term or choose cancel to terminate immediately.
